At Burgess Showjumping, based at Bedgebury Equestrian Centre in Tunbridge Wells, we offer bespoke training livery, competition livery and full livery for horses and riders of all levels.
Whether you are looking for help building confidence, improving your horse’s way of going, getting back into riding, or producing a horse for competition, we can tailor a package to suit you. Every horse and rider is different, so we always take an individual approach and work with you to find what fits best.
With excellent facilities, experienced support and direct access to Bedgebury Forest, we offer a friendly, professional environment where horses can thrive and riders can enjoy their progress.
Training Livery
Our training livery is ideal for those wanting a little more support with their horse, whether that is for a short period or on a longer-term basis.
Some owners come to us because they want help improving their horse on the flat, building confidence, or bringing more consistency into their routine. Others may be producing a young horse, getting back into riding, or simply finding that life is busy and they need a helping hand to keep their horse working well and progressing
We welcome riders of all ages and abilities and understand that everyone’s goals are different. For some, it is about enjoying their horse more and feeling more confident. For others, it is about working towards competitions and moving up the levels. Whatever your aims, we can create a package to suit both you and your horse.
Our approach is always tailored, supportive and realistic, with the focus on helping horses and riders progress in a way that works for them.
Competition Livery
Our competition livery is designed for owners who want their horse professionally produced, carefully managed and given the opportunity to gain experience at quality shows.
This can suit a wide range of horses and owners, from younger horses needing mileage and experience, to those already out competing who would benefit from more regular outings and a consistent programme at home. It can also work well for owners who want to stay involved, but would like experienced support along the way.
At Burgess Showjumping, we believe successful horse production is built on good daily management, correct training and attention to detail. Every horse is treated as an individual, with horse welfare at the heart of everything we do. Our aim is always to help horses feel and perform at their best, while giving them the right foundation for the future.
Full Livery and Bespoke Packages
We offer a range of livery options, including full livery, training livery, competition livery, schooling livery, holiday livery and sales livery.
All of our packages are bespoke because no two horses, riders or owners are the same. Some people want a full package with day-to-day care, exercise and training included, while others are looking for support in certain areas. We are always happy to talk through what you need and put together something that works for you.
We can offer both short-term and long-term stays, depending on your circumstances and goals.

Our Facilities
Bedgebury Equestrian Centre offers a professional, well-equipped set-up for horses in work, horses in training and horses being prepared for competition.
Our facilities include:
- two indoor arenas
- individual turnout paddocks
- airy stables with rubber flooring and automatic drinkers
- 24/7 on-site staff
- direct hacking onto Bedgebury Forest
- on-site training
- the option to attend shows
